You’re moving through the snow, it’s cold oh god it’s cold.

You look around.

Blinding white that covers completely dead vegetation,

dead metal dead plants dead concrete-

You’re on the tracks, they’re shaking.

Nothing is going to happen, everything is dead.

You aren’t dead.

Your mind races over everything you ever saw.

It’s nothing new.

You inspect the restless tracks.

Dead planks line up the metal, the stone foundation is just snow.

The tracks shake harder, you look at the sky.

It perfectly reflects the ground, thank god for the goggles.

They shake, it’s getting loud.

You move to the side.

A train passes you, slowly, it has lit up lights.

It looks nice, cozy, warm, with people at the windows.

You notice two intriguing figures in a closed off cabin, probably a premium ride.

They look distressed?

Halfway the train turns derelict, holes everywhere.

It’s probably more cold inside from the metal.

Oh god the cold.

You think you notice the same figures there, one going back to the start of the train.

They look like you.

That’s not right.

What are you looking at?

Stop.

The train passes completely, you’re left on your own one again.

You have enough rations to last you a while, for warmth, you’re not sure.

It’s cold.

You’re cold.

Someone in the distance?

They call out.

You don’t hear.

You call out.

You don’t speak.

You run.

You always don’t think you ever had a choice.

But you always did.

You made the choices.

Not all of them.

But you made them.

Own up to them.

What’s wrong with you?

The environment please where are you?

You’re at a station, a train station.

It’s not cold, and a train is coming, slowing down nicely.

When in the station, you get in at the far end.

It’s not as cold as it looks.

You take your goggles off and make your way through the train.

Bunk beds line up the bed, until what you think is the midpoint.

A heavy duty door shows its face, with a crate nearby.

You take a look at the crate, it has mugs.

You hear someone groan behind, there’s someone in a bunk bed.
